This evening, Sr. Bethany Madonna, from the Sisters of Life, shared with us that the Lord loves us and has a beautiful plan for each one of us. She began with contemplating about how much thought God put into making each of our fingerprints so unique. If He took the time to do that, imagine how much time He took to design the love in our hearts. No one is able to love God in the way that you specially love Him, and He longs for your love!

Jesus Meets Us Where We Are

Jesus gave us Himself. He gave us His mother as our mother and He gave us a home in the Church where we are accepted. Regardless of the mistakes or regrets, no matter how far we are from God, He wants to meet us right where we are. If we allow the Lord to enter into our vulnerability, great things can happen. Sr. Bethany Madonna renewed hope in us when she said “When you receive the Father’s reckless love, we receive power, courage, and the gift of loving people that is beyond our own.” The love that the Lord has given you is meant to be a gift for others.

How Has Jesus Made Your Heart To Love?

When Sr. Bethany Madonna experienced adoration for the first time in high school, she was prompted to pray with the questions, “What does the Lord desire for your life? How did He make your heart to love?” As she sat with these questions in prayer, she heard the Lord asking her to consider being totally His. As she reflected over the Lords words that she heard in prayer, she realized that Jesus wasn’t asking her to give up all of her desires, He was asking her to let Him be the one to fulfill those desires. The Lord asked her to to love Him with the same love that she was saving for her husband; to love Him just as much as she would love her spouse, and to love every person as if they were her own flesh and blood.

As we moved into a time of prayer tonight, Sr. Bethany Madonna encouraged us to sit with the Lord and ask Him that same question, “How did you make my heart to love? What do you ask of me?”
