ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – With Washington, D.C. picking up to 30 inches of snow and the biggest snow storm in the city’s history. A local catholic youth group had to cancel their trip to the March for Life event.
FOX 2’s Kelley Hoskins was in the Central West End where the group planned their own march.
The local March for Life event ended at Planned Parenthood where the group prayed.
The march was held for those who were unable to make the trip for the Generations March to Washington, D.C. with the nation’s capital being blasted by a blizzard.
Archbishop Robert Carlson and the Office of Youth Ministry of the Archdiocese of St. Louis decided to hold a special pro-life event at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis.
The Archbishop then lead a rosary procession to Planned Parenthood location in the central west end where the group held a moment of silence.
The archbishop says today event in St. Louis allowed participants to support thousands of other pro-lifers around the country.
Archbishop Robert Carlson also mentioned he was really looking forward to spending time with the youth this weekend and in light of the recent changes due to the severe weather in our nation’s capital.
The event concluded with a pro-life mass celebrated by the Archbishop at the Cathedral Basilica.
